Five vitals for life
There are five vitals we humans need no matter how much we deny it. We all are social animals, one point or the other we need someone’s support, care, love , attention, protection.
Humans are programmed in such a way that his actions are driven only by motives or benefits. In such a world it is hard to find someone who is selfless. It is astonishing thinking the fact that one ,four legged, furry, happy puppy can provide you all the vitals you need to have a peaceful and positive mind. Having four of them in my life have changed my outlook towards the world.
- It is okay, to be selfless
- It is okay to keep away your ego
- It is okay to be loving and caring
- It is okay to be possessive
We are not losing anything in this world….
“Five amazing experiences “ you will understand only if you have a dog at home.
Unconditional love
Isn’t it annoying when you open your room and you find the room upside down, broken sandals, pillows and blankets lying here and there? In the middle of all this you would find your cutie pie sitting and wagging the tail with those mesmerising eyes? Trust me this happens with most of us who owns a dog. Then as usual we get angry, we punish them, they cry aloud and runaway. Next day, is a new day for them, it doesn’t matter whether you punished them the previous night or not they would always come running again wagging their tail to you the very next morning. They would literally lick all over you, hug you tight. I should say that is the best feeling of being loved without any expectation and being important to someone.
Awaiting moments
Have you reached home late? Try being late occasionally, then someone will be waiting so restlessly. When I come home for weekends and holidays, as they hear my vehicle around the corner, there is a typical bark which tells it all, it is an amalgam of love, endless complains and eagerness. Opening the gate makes them irresistible, they would run onto you, next thing you can see is their drools on your face, it is little gross but I should admit the fact that it just makes your day, irrespective of the long tiring journey you had. They will be busy conveying the fact that they missed you all these days and have counted every single minute when you were away.
A shoulder to lean
A strong bonding that I developed with ma dog teddy was during the final days of other sweet heart (violet) with whom I grew. I was a kid and was alone at home when he passed away and was there with him in his last few minutes making him comfortable. I was literally crying my heart out. No one would believe teddy sat with me throughout without moving, licking ma tears as they rolled down. I can barely put those feelings into words.
It is obvious that we can only guess what they trying to convey but they sense your fear, depression, remorse, happiness, excitement and the list goes on. So it is ok to pour out your feelings and worries to them. I guarantee you the relief you experience will be priceless, it is through the small gestures they show in return which makes your heart melt.
Entertainment
When we get bored we try to read a book or sit in front of a television. Whenever I open a book, my pet Goofy used to come just to distract and irritate me, he pulls my book away, lie on top of it. There are instances where he tore the book into pieces. Frankly speaking I get worried for the damaged he caused, but truly enjoyed it all!
They are such fascinating creatures who make our eyes gleam. Spending time with them helps in relaxing, refreshing, setting a joyful mood. Trust me you will lose the track of the time and it is worth spending it with them.
Feeling of being protected
The primary reason why people keep dogs is for protection. They feel they are the ones who are responsible for their masters especially when they are asleep, away or in any kind of danger. Animal behaviour studies proves that dogs can sense when their master is about to get hurt, so any kind of threat to his master provokes him and he would do anything to protect him even if he have to take the life of other person. There is a great physical as well as behavioural similarity between dogs and wolves. They both belong to the species canine. Both the groups move in packs. According to pet dogs we belong to their pack so they will do anything to protect their pack this is the ultimate reasoning to this animal protective behaviour.
I should say I am so lucky to have a pack who lives for me !!!
